How To Increase Traffic To Your eCommerce Store With A Multi Channel Content Creation Strategy

Our SEO services promote your eCommerce store for you.

Hi, Thomas Krawiec from ZugDigital.com.

In today’s video I’m going to talk about how you can increase the traffic to your eCommerce store by taking a multi channel approach to your content creation.

Here’s the thing, people like to consume content on different mediums, whether that’s video, audio, text or imagery. So the idea is that you create content and push it to each channel so that if a person who likes video, they are ableĀ  to find your video via YouTube, if a person likes to read text they can read your blog post through Google or on your blog, if they like images they can find you on Pinterest or if they prefer audio they may download your podcast and find you via iTunes.

With this multi channel approach you’re putting your content on every possible channel and bringing people back to your eCommerce store. From an SEO perspective this is giving you a variety of links to your website and bringing you traffic from a variety of different sources.

Now here’s what you need to do with your content schedule use the 80/20 rule. You should be creating content 20% of the time and then promoting it 80% of the time. So create your content 20% of the time but your main focus should be on syndicating that content to every platform and then promoting it, whether that’s through forums, facebook, twitter or Google+.

Now I’ll give you an example of how you can snowball your organic SEO search traffic to your eCommerce store. First, find a product, create a video for it, upload a video to youtube, embed that video on your product page, strip out the audio from the video and upload the audio to iTunes for a podcast, transcribe the audio and make it into a blog post on your blog. Then promote that blog post on all your social media, Facebook, Twitter & Google+, engage with people on those social networks to promote it.
Promote it even further by going to industry specific forums, engage in conversations with people, maybe even contact a influencer within that forum and get them to promote your E-Commerce store for you.

If you’re providing good content and value, people will be more then happy to help you.

That’s it for todays video, I hope this has helped you out, if you have any questions please leave a comment or shoot me an email, I’m more than happy to help you. Also share this blog post if you found it useful.

Thomas Krawiec from Zug Digital, I’ll see you soon.
